It is understood that the Zhegu decentralized wind power project in Cuomei County, Xizang is the highest altitude wind farm under construction in the world at present, with an average altitude of more than 5000 meters. The wind farm is currently constructing two experimental wind turbines, with bases installed at an altitude of nearly 5100 meters.
Industry insiders introduce that the air in ultra-high altitude areas is thin and the temperature is low, which seriously affects the efficiency of personnel and equipment construction; Compared to other regions, ultra-high altitude construction also puts higher requirements on the stability and safety of equipment. In addition, lifting equipment also needs to have stronger power to cope with “high-altitude reactions”.
Introduction to the Project Manager of Zhonglian Heavy Industry Engineering Crane Branch: At present, the construction of wind farms at such high altitudes both domestically and internationally is in the stage of “crossing the river by feeling the stones”, lacking case references. Before the project starts, the construction client comprehensively considers various factors such as the project environment, wind load during lifting, dynamic load, and efficiency reduction of high-altitude machinery and equipment, and repeatedly selects the lifting products. After multiple rounds of evaluation, the Zoomlion Heavy Industry Crawler Crane ZCC1800H was finally selected for this project due to its excellent performance “The main lifting equipment.”
